Delivering quality oral health care to children requires a deep understanding of their unique dental needs, behaviours, and development. This interactive workshop is designed for dental professionals who aim to enhance their confidence and competence in treating young patients, particularly in mobile or community settings.

Led by expert paediatric dental practitioners, this session will provide valuable insights into the common oral health challenges faced by children and effective management strategies. From addressing early childhood caries and hypoplastic molars to managing behavioural challenges and dental trauma, participants will gain practical knowledge to apply immediately in their practice.

The workshop also explores oral habits, malocclusion, and key pathologies that impact children’s oral health, ensuring attendees are well-prepared to recognize issues and provide timely interventions or referrals. Whether you're unfamiliar with pediatric care or seeking to refresh your skills, this session offers essential tools for delivering patient-centered care to children.

Providing oral health care to elderly patients comes with unique challenges and rewarding opportunities to make a significant impact on their quality of life. This workshop is designed to equip dental professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of geriatric care, particularly in mobile or community-based settings, but in all types of practice.

This comprehensive session explores critical topics and is designed to be interactive to discuss cases and logistics around each topic. Participants will be given to opportunity to deepen their knowledge through this collaborative approach.

WORKSHOP: Innovation in Tooth Whitening Workshop

Join Jasmine Bell and Amelia Seselja for a hands-on practical workshop on Colgate’s Light Up whitening technology. This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to learn firsthand how to use Colgate’s latest innovation in teeth whitening for your patients.

 

As part of the workshop attendees will also:
● Explore whitening fundamentals - How does whitening work?
● Understand the difference between hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide or  PAP?
● Understand the important considerations when whitening teeth and in case selection
● Undertake a hands-on training component. 

 

Presenter: Jasmine Bell Colgate- Professional Educator

Based in South Australia, Jasmine is the Colgate Professional Educator for the region. Jasmine joined
the Colgate team in 2007. Graduating from TAFE SA Gilles Plains College, Jasmine holds an
Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Dental Hygiene). Jasmine has extensive experience in the dental
industry working in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
Jasmine is a clinical tutor and lecturer at TAFE SA for Advanced Diploma of Oral Health students and
also continues to work in private (general) practice, which enables her to utilise all of her hygiene
knowledge and skills and share workplace experiences to enhance her students’ knowledge and
understanding. As a hygienist, Jasmine enjoys the challenge of providing care for a broad range of
patients, from young children to elderly patients.
Jasmine prides herself on her commitment to professional education and development, which enables
her to provide quality oral health care for her patients and ensure the highest quality of education for
her students.
