Cathryn Carboon

Program Facilitator

Cathryn Carboon has 38 years experience in dental hygiene practice. She has worked in special needs dentistry at the Julia Farr Centre in Adelaide, providing preventive oral health promotion programs and dental hygiene treatment to residents and dental health education and training sessionsfor staff. Cathryn has provided oral health promotion sessions at residential aged care facilities in South Australia and Victoria.

Cathryn is an International award winning dental hygienist, she has been recognised by the International Federation of Dental Hygienists with several social responsibility awards. She is a lifetime member of the DentalHygienist Association of Australia (DHAA) and holds DHAA Aged Care Education Program Certification and is a member of the DHAA Aged CareChapter.

Cathryn is a member of the Australian Health Promotion Association and the International Health Literacy Association. Cathryn has been a professional dental educator for over 18 years, lecturing at Universities, TAFEs and professional conferences across Australia and overseas.
